Some of my friends have made interesting resolutions for the New Year. A friend has decided to quit smoking and another wants to reduce his weight.

One friend’s resolution is impressive. He has decided to visit old age homes, meet elderly parents left by their children who have gone abroad for jobs, a practice quite common these days.

Aged parents wish their children stay with them. His decision to meet such people aims at bringing peace for them. “What is your resolution?” he asked me. “I want to highlight the plight of common people through the powerful print media,” I replied.

Kunder.Even though he has Seven years Experience in his Profession
created a Good Impact as a Editor for few successful films is not a

Ram was getting frequent letters from Suganthi
and he also felt as if he knows her for long time.One day he received a letter from her ,mentioning that she will be going to U.K.With her Parents.After that he did n't getany letter from her for nearly five years.Ram stopped writing ,because of no comments from Suganthi.This was the reason he has Stoped writing.That was the reason he did n't tell to Raj. Years passed and no communication from Suganthi.Ram also slowly eradicated this Beautiful memory from his mind.But because of the film Sumai thangi his memory has gone back to the good old Beautiful days.Ram never disappointed in his life,what ever comes he will accept.All this twenty five years he has spent with his friends and students. For the past five years Tomy was his good friend.Tomy was also likes his master obeyed his instructions.He was transfered from Bangalore to Mysore ten years back and settled in the Beautiful Place Mysore.He took voluntary retirement at the age of 55.Today he is 58 years old ,and his hair has not become completely grey but,one or two only more visible.No one will say he is 58, because of his charming and beautiful personality. Today i remembered an another interesting person from the famous Bolly wood films is none other then Cinemotographer Baba Azmi.He is the son of Late Famous Poet and Lyricist Kafi Azmi and brother of Shabana Azmi.He has more then twenty Good films to his credit with today's top class actors is worth to be mentioned.He is known as actor's Cinemoto grapher,in many films.Good clean shots and excellent out door work will be more visible in his movies.Even though he has directed more then twenty films ,i have seen few unforgettable movies of this Doyen.Those films are Bezubaan,Dil,Mr,India,Woh 7din,Arjun,Mera Dharam,Samundar,Ishq,Roopkirani Choron ka Raja ,Pukar and Rishtey He was worked with .Anil kapoor,Sunny Deol,Madhuri Dikshit and many others are important.One of the few talented cinemotographers in the Bolly wood,respected by the film fraternity.To day i am happy to tribute this Stalwart.

I went to the Chennai airport recently to receive my daughter and grandchildren. I saw a lot of people waiting with Indian flags in their hand. I enquired from a person as to whom they were waiting for.

He named a sportsperson representing the kabadi team who had won a gold medal at the recent international games in China.

After 45 minutes my grandchildren arrived, along with the gold medal winner.

Apart from receiving my grandchildren, I felt happy to receive a gold medal winner of the country. Sportspersons are loved globally.

Banking scandal ruins Indian image

The article New banking scandal another hit to India's credibility (November 26) was interesting to read. In recent years, India has grown dramatically in all areas,but corruption has also shown rapid growth. In recent months, scam after sacm have been brought to light. Today the way in which all sectors have looted tax payer money is highly unacceptable to the common man of India. That people in highly responsible positions are running scams is very painful. The banking sector was not exposed to corruption for many years so the current scandal is really shocking

Any good administration needs transparency and accountability. People now asking whether the current administration possesses these qualities. Even though,over all, governance is good, a few people can spoil the entire government's image.

Rain of issues

I have shifted from Sharjah and presently living in Chennai. A few days ago, due to heavy rains I could not meet a friend. Normally, we meet every week and discuss various topics over a cup of hot tea. This week he called and sounded worried about the rain. I heard a TV announcement that the rain may continue for a few more days. I also got worried. I enjoy watching news on TV but that particular day, I was forced to shut it off. Reason: More than the rain, there was a torrent of news of scams against Indian politicians, which made me sad and worried.

tragic case of death in India

With reference to your article Student 'hacked head teacher to death' (November 23), about the student in India who went on a rampage, it was sad and painful to read. This violent incident, which happened in the Indian state of Manipur, was unacceptable.

The reason given for this tragic incident was that the teacher had seen the student gambling in a bazaar with his friends. He simply advised the student not to gamble, and for that, the student killed his teacher along with his friends and later surrendered himself to the police.


Teachers should be respected and students should behave properly.

India's corruption response worrying

Your article Indian judge doubtful about 'tainted' anti-graft figure (November 22) was interesting to read.

Scams and corruption are already highly prevalent, and the government's response of appointing a team to investigate is appropriate.

But it is highly surprising to find that to investigate, they have bestowed on the process a person that is such a controversial figure.


The National reports that this was opposed by a supreme court judge - but the move itself is a very sad state of affairs.

It is difficult to fathom why or how under the Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh's administration such a controversial person was appointed to the committee.

I found India’s middle class is entitled to cars its new money can buy (November 12) pertinent. Today, the Indian economy has grown dramatically, and nearly every middle-class family can afford to have a car because of increasing incomes.
The automobile industry has seen much growth in India. On the one hand, this is a good news. On the other hand, whether these cars can withstand Indian roads remains to be seen. India has to improve its infrastructure, especially in all of the major cities.
But as affordability has increased, traffic congestion has also increased. When the traffic increases, people also waste time to reach their destinations, thereby affecting productivity.

An acquaintance sent me a request to add him as a friend in a social networking web site. He had seen me in that site and sent the request from the US where he went to see his children.

I had lost touch with him for more than four decades. Hence, I was happy seeing his letter and remembering our good old days. We used to play for the same cricket team and once we went to meet former Australian team captain Riche Berno.

On the way, I fell down and my left hand was injured, leaving a scar. Whenever I see my left hand scar, I remember that famous captain. I added my friend’s name happily in that site.

Better oversight of Delhi buildings
Race on to rescue Delhi survivors (November 17) was sad and painful to read.

It is unacceptable that this large accident - with 66 casualties and 80 injured - happened in spite of rules and regulations from the New Delhi government.

The building was only 15 years old; how was it possible that it cracked? Normally, a building's longevity is more than 30 to 40 years, so how this building collapsed is a mystery. From an engineering perspective, one wonders if the structure of the building was properly approved.

I pray for the departed souls, grieving family members and hope for a speedy recovery for the injuired. The government should probe this incident and justice should be given to the victims.

Your news article India's telecoms minister resigns (November 16) was nice to read. The telecommunications minister Andimuthu Raja was the third person to quit the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government in recent days. This is an important development in the Indian political arena.

This particular wireless spectrum scam was a huge one that took place over years. The reason for his resignation is that he did not want to embarrass the present administration. I am confident that the UPA government will bring justice and answers to the people of India.

Today i remembered an, another talented person from SouthIndian film is none other then Actor,Choreographer and Director Lawrence Raghavendra. The article India opens corruption call centre (October 29) was interesting. This act was implemented by the Indian government after the recent Commonwealth Games fiasco.

Today i am going to pen an ,another wonderful person created a very big impact in the recent years is none other then Cinemotographer R.Ratnavelu.Started his career with Veteran Cinemotographer ,Director Rajiv Menon for many of his advertisement films.He has couple of films to his credit in three languages are worth to be mentioned here.Most of his films are hits,and today's top class actors are acted.Personalities like Rajni kant,Vijay,Surya, and Jayam Ravi are important.Known for his visual effects,out door cinemotography with different frame work in each and every film is his speciality.Today south indian film industry known for its talented technicians,especially cinemotography.Ihave seen few films of this stal wart,those are,Aravindhan,Sethu,Nanda,Jayam,Bhagavathi,Thirumalai,Vaaranam AAyiram and Peralagan are important.The recent much talked film of Enthiran i have not seen,but seen how the film was taken.Hats off to this wonderful cinemotographer Ratnavelu.The combination of Shankar,Rajni,A.R.Rahman and this cinemotographer made a good delivery of Enthiran is not a exagerated one. I am having the fullest confidence about this,Soft spoken,Silent and smiling Ratnavelu ,is going to have many laurals ,in the coming days .

Days are passing very past,,and it won't stop for any one.After the tragic,death news of Vasanthi, Ram was attending the college as usual.By virtue of his Good habits ,his mind was fully engaged in different areas,and slowly he was eradicated Vasanthi ,from his mind . Ram's mother was ,pressing for his marriage,which he diplomatically refused. because of his beautiful vasanthi.After few years ,one day his mother was also passed ,left him alone.At that time also,Ram was calm,accepted the reality.In between many friends suggested for his marriage,which he refused.Even though his mind eradicated his beautiful Vasanthi,he can not think any other women,because he is real ram.He started attending,phylosophical discourses of great personalities,like the late J.Krishnamurthy,and many.His mind has become more matured,calm and with out any attachment to this materialistic world.Loving this Beautiful Life and his good friends.Days,months and years passed.(to be continued).

Today i am going to pen an interesting Personality from the bolly eood film industry is none other then Cinemotographer Kabir lal.Known for his outdoor as well indoor work in Many films of Bollywood as well Telugu films is worth to be mentioned here.Incidently he is the son of Veteran CinemotographerS.S.Lal.If my memory is right S.S.Lal was the cinemotographer for the famous tamil super hit film of modern theatres Vallavanuku vallavan.Kabirlal has worked with today’s top class Directors ,like Subhas ghai,and many others.Ihave seen couple of films of this stalwart,those films are,Taal,Pardes,Hero,Apne,and Kaho naa Pyarhai.Kaho na pyaar hai was a super hit team work with Director Raakesh Roshan,and acto rHritik Roshan is important.Kabirlal has his own identity in the Bolly wood.Today i am happy to tribute this stalwart.

Ram ,saw the Paper,was shocked to read the following news.In Mahabaleswar,one Mini bus was dashed with a lorry ,and all the Fifteen Passangers was died including two women.All the Passangers from the Bank,where his Beautiful Vasanthi was working.Ram was completely taken a Back.When he read the Passangers name,Vasanthi;s name was also there.His eyes was started pouring tears,Oh,Vasanthi,i miss you ,for ever.He could not discuss with his mother,came out from the house.Then he went to the nearest park,there he and Vasanthi met Many times.Ram and Vasanthi ,liked that Beautiful park,today Ram was alone.In spite of the tragic death of Vasanthi,Ram didn't criticise the Beautiful Life,God has given.He consoled himself,Vasanthi's fate was over.Ishould control my feelings and emotions.Iam not destined to be her Better half in the real beautiful life.Ishould take it easy,My dear Vasanthi,you are always with me.After few days passed,Ram completely forgotten,and started enjoing the Beautiful life.His Phylosophy,one has to accept,what ever comes. Stranded’ in Spain

Last week, I received a call from my friend in the UAE asking me why I was stranded in Spain. I was taken aback as I was very much in Chennai, India.

I could not guess why he was asking that question. He cleared my doubt that some of my friends received a message from my email ID stating that I had lost my wallet and that I needed financial help.

I was shocked to hear this story from my friend. Luckily, none of my friends responded to this. I requested all my friends to ignore if they received any message from my old email ID.

It’s sad that such bogus emails are on the prowl in cyberspace.

Ram got the message that his mother suddenly fall down in the bath room.He rushed home ,took mother to a Orthopaedic surgeon.Doctor told Ram , his mother needs Investigations and after seeing that only he can decide ,to find out where the bone dislocated. There was no other go ,Ram cancelled his trip.Next day ,after seeing the tests and X.ray Doctor told Ram,she has to go for surgery to set right the joints.Ram has agreed for the surgery,and it took ninety days for his mother to come to the normal .After that incident Ram could not get leave immediately.Again he tried to Vasanthi's Bank at Mahabaleswar,could not get the right information about Vasanthi.Six months passed,there is no communication from Vasanthi.His Mother was asking him,why he is restless.Ram didn't tell the real fact,because he does not want mother should be worrying on his affair.He told her ,Because of work pressure he was restless.The other day ,when he opened the Paper ,he was shocked to see ----(tobe continued).

Photographic memory

Reading in the morning and walking in the evening are my routines after retirement. Thanks to this habit, I have made new acquaintances. We discuss various topics from journalism to politics. One day, a friend invited me to go shopping with him.

After some purchases, we went to a restaurant for a cup of tea. While conversing, a person sitting behind us kept looking at me and then called out my name. I could not recognise him.

He cleared my doubt. “Three decades ago, I met you when we were in the pharmaceutical profession. I recognised you after hearing your voice,” he said. Both my friend and me were stunned by the man’s photographic memory.

Tribute to Cinemotographer Santosh Sivan.(109).


To day i Rremembered an another interesting film Personality,known for his identity is none other then Cinemotographer Santosh Sivan.Known for his Perfection, Good visuals and excellent out door cinemotography.He has worked with today's top class actors and Directors.Even though he has few films to his credit,i have seen few memorable films of this doyen.Those films are,Roja,Dilse,Pukar,Tehzeeb,an dPride and Prejudice.He has worked four languages films is important.The Cinemotographer 's father Mr,Sivan is the cinemotographer for many Malayalam Documentry films and owns a studio in Kerala.Probaly because of his father ,he was facinated in to Cinemotography and established his identity in the film field.He was also studied in the Film Institute of India,and also the Founding Member o fthe Indian Society of
Cinemotographers.I admire this talented up coming cinemotographer.To day i am happy to tribute this celebrated,Personality.

Your article ,Taliban kidnaps election candidates ,was sad.Afghanistan ,after the US led allays,invasion , for more then seven years , Still facing problems is unacceptable.The recent election candidates kidnapping was painful.Taliban is still having the upper hand ,is Condonmable one.Ultimate sufferer is the civilians only.Inspite of so many forces,Taliban's strength is more visible.

They deserve a pat

They deserve a patSports should be kept away from politics. It was painful to watch a sports person, who had won a gold medal, being treated shabbily in India recently.

I also received a call from a friend in the UAE criticising the rude behaviour of an Indian minister towards the medal winner. One should not forget that sportsmen bring laurels to the country they represent.

Your article Gaza violence fuels ,was interesting to read.When ever some peace talks are taking place,violence also increasing from both sides is sad and painful.More then three decades ,no concrete settlement has arrived is a pity.Violence is not the right answer ,and a Peaceful dialoque needed at this hour.Middle east peace depends on Israel,will it be fulfilled is the question mark.?

Vasanthi was very happy that Ram got good company to his destination Bangalore.That night she could n’t sleep ,because of the flashbacks ,she spent with her Ram.While going in the car Ram could n’t hear the conversation of Radhika and her husband,because his mind was recollecting the good memorable hours spent with his  beautiful Vasanthi ,in the beautiful Brindavan Gardens.By the time he reached Bangalore ,it was Twelve “o clock midnight.Ram thanked Radhika and her husband for the lift and came to his place.He could n’t sleep,because of the first experience with Vasanthi.Next day as usual Ram attended his work.Couple of days past,one day Ram got the message through one of his friend.After hearing the message Ram was shocked. (to be continued).

Hello Ram ,how are you. Long time from you no call,Are you o.k.
Ram.Raj,thank you,i am fine,How is your family.
Raj.All are fine Ram. Why do n’t we meet today ,in my House.
Ram.What time.
Raj.Say ,six thirty .
Ram.That’s fine.After finishing my evening walk i will come there.
Exactly at the Prescribed time Ram reached, his House.
Raj was very Happy ,seeing Ram.
Raj.Ram ,The Reason why, I wanted to meet you is to discuss about the present Economic crisis,which you like.
Ram.Of course i like.What is the Necessisity,that today we have to discuss.

Tribute to Cinemotographer Peter Pereira.(108).

Today i am going to pen ,an another interesting film personality from Bolly wood is none other then Cinemotographer Peter Pereira.He has many films to his credit ,with beautiful out door work and specia leffects is not a exagerated one. Today’s top class actors films ,this doyen worked and created a big impact three decades back is important.He was associated Many films,with the Late Producer ,Director Manmohan Desai is very important.The combination of Manmohan Desai, and Peter Pereira yielded very good dividend in those days. Even though he has many films to his credit,i can not forget few memorable films of this stalwart.Those films are,Sachha Jhutha,Aa galey lag jaa,Amar Akbar,Anthony,Kasme Vaade,Yaarana,Toofan,DeshPreme,Pukar,Insaniyat ka devta,Shahenshah,and Mard are important.Eventhough his associate Manmohan Desai was not with us,their combination of many films ,still liked by the Film fans.Today i am happy to tribute this veteran.

Heart of gold

A friend called me from the UAE asking about my arrival date in Dubai. When I said within a month’s time, he asked me to promise that I would stay with him. Surprisingly, he was the fourth friend to say so. This goes to show the hospitable nature of the UAE residents. It’s not only that the UAE is a land of gold; its residents too have a heart of gold.

I may not live few more days also. said ,Vasanthi's mother.
Vasanthi.No don't tell like that.After spending few hours with them Ram left to Bangalore.After few days Ram got the shocking news ,that Vasanthi's Mother passed away.He went to Mysore, saw and consoled  her.What to do, loss is loss.Vasanthi was very weak,she could n't talk much .
Ram.Vasanthi ,why do n't you come to Bangalore ,for a change.
Vasanthi.Thank you Ram.I got promotion and transferred to Mahabaleswar,Near Pune.Iam joining Monday.
Ram.Why so early,you could have join little later.
Vasanthi.If i sit at home ,i will remember mom.So i decided to join.
Ram .As you wish,take care .As soon as you reach there ,call me.I am not able to tell ,any thing other then this.
Vasanthi.Certainly Ram,Even though iam there my mind is with you.You too take care.

Tribute to Producer,Actor and Director L.V.Prasad (107)..

Today i am going to pen an ,another interesting Personality from south indian film as a actor,producer and Director is none other then L.V.Prasad.Man who has created a very big impact in those days in Tamil ,Telugu and Hindi pictures are not a exagerated one.Today 's top class actors are acted in this stalwart's movies.Family subject with Good story, screen play and powerful dialoques are more visible in his films.Music , Good songs and cinemotography are also visible.Even though he has acted ,produced and directed many films in his career,i have seen few memorable movies of this doyen.Those films are, Chhoti Bahen (Hindi),Jeene Ki Raah,Shaadi Ke Baad(hindi),Missiamma,Manohara,Iruvar ullam,Kadan vaan gi kalyanam,(tamil.)He was awarded Dadha Saheb Phalke Award for his life time achivement is very important.Created his own studio and famous recording theatre,he was liked by the film fraternity.Most of the Bolly wood films recording as well shooting will be made in his studio.His Prasad Productions Banner was very popular.Even though the smart smiling L.V.Prasad is not with us today ,his contribution to the Indian cinema ,no one can forget.To day i am happy to pen this Doyen.

Train the mind

I was waiting for a train at the station. By the time the train arrived, a friend saw me and immediately we both rushed into a nearby compartment. After a few stations, the ticket examiner appeared.

I showed my First Class ticket and when his turn came, my friend also flashed a First Class ticket.

We both had entered the Second Class compartment with the aim of not making the other feel bad.

At the next station, we got down and moved on to the First Class compartment.

The news was given by his friend,that Vasanthi’s Mother was admitted in the hospital That news was a shocking to ram.Last week Vasanthi was mentioning ,her mother was fine.Ram tried to contact her phone ,could n’t get. Then he tried that B.M.Hospital of Mysore,got her on the phone.Vasanthi’s voice was very low ,and she was more worried about her mom.
Ram,Dr,told me only few days for my mother.She is in the advanced stage of cancer.
Ram.Oh,my god. i will come immediately to Mysore.
Vasanthi.Do n’t worry ram,i will manage my self.If there is any emergency ,i will call you.
Ram.No,problem.Iwill come there in the evening.
Ram reached that hospital ,in the evening.Vasanthi was so happy to see ram.
Vasanthi.Thank you ,so much ram.You have come,from all the way.
Vasanthi’s mother saw ram,this is the first time she saw the hand some ram,which was described by her daughter.
Mother.Ram,Vasanthi told about you and your Beautiful nature. You have to give me a promise.
Ram.Tell me ,
Mother.Idon’t think ,i will survive for another ten days.Vasanthi likes you very much,and you should marry her.Promise me.
Ram.Iwill certainly marry,do n’t worry about that.You will live many years.
Mother.Thank you ram.Doctors are telling my survival is remote.
Vasanthi.Mom,why you are talking like this.
Mother.No,vasanthi my intution is telling ,i may live only few days.Iam happy you got a nice husband.
Vasanthi.I am praying our God ,you should live many more years.
