Letter

Letter Published in Gulf News UAE on 2 June 17,Improvements needed
In Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s three year tenure, the Indian National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has done some important things for the development of the country, particularly with regards to demonetisation and infrastructure facilities (‘Naidu keen to continue alliance with BJP’, Gulf News, May 29). These developments are laudable and despite opposition criticisms, the Indian government has looked at the interest of all communities and their welfare. Still, the fact that the NDA government was called a communal party, was sad to read. Congress had ruled for so many years and they did not make so many improvements, yet they claim that they are the old national party. The NDA should take care of important aspects, like inflation of day-to-day consumables, which has not come down, and bank interest rates for senior citizens. Will the NDA address these two important issues?
